Week 01 – Introduction

Alright! So you have taken one of the important decision. You are almost one step closer to getting the ISTQB – Certified Tester title ( … and use it after your name )


There are few things that you need to have before you taking the foundation level examination


— Your investment of Rs. 15,000


— Examination dates – You can check out Qualityholics web site for this date


— Final payment dates – Usually there is a cut off date for accepting payments, So you need to pay before the final date



Exam Structure


Foundation level examination consists of 40 multiple choice questions and you will be given 01 point for each correct answer. Pass mark will be 65% (which is 26 or more points)


Total duration for the examination will be 60 minutes.


There 06 chapters that you need to study in order to go through the examination. Those 06 chapters cover the basics in the Software Quality Assurance.




Exam questions are distributed among K-levels, which represent deepening levels of knowledge a candidate needs to have.


— K1 : Usually 20 questions


— K2 : Usually 12 questions


— K3 & K4 : Usually 08 questions
